Glen Dale Flowers
November 4, 1933 – March 3, 2025

Glen Dale Flowers, of Katy, Texas, formerly Curryville (Spencerburg), Missouri, passed away around 4:30a.m. on Monday morning, March 3rd, 2025.

Glen was born in Frankford, Missouri, on November 4, 1933, to Raymond and Flossie (Cluney) Flowers.  He grew up in Havana, Illinois before serving as a firefighter in the United States Air Force in the 1950’s.  After his honorable discharge, Glen married his wife Verda (Ward) Flowers and raised their 5 children all over Illinois and Missouri. He worked as a semi-truck driver from the age of 16, as well as a mechanic, welder, and a vehicle body repairman throughout his life until he retired at 75 years old. After retirement, Glen and Verda moved to Texas with their oldest granddaughter. Glen loved fishing, was well known to be able to make or fix anything, and he never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife, Verda (Ward) Flowers, of 62 years of marriage; 2 sons, Donald and Philip, both of Curryville, MO; 2 daughters, Glenda Session of Aledo, IL, and Norma Davis of Clark, MO, 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, one brother, Ronald Flowers, of Crestview, FL, and a sister, Linda Ward, of Bath, IL.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents; his son Timothy; 3 sisters, Audrey Lillian, Vivian Irene, Marilene Wingibler; and one brother, Larry Flowers.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 8th, at 8:30a.m., at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home: 606 W Main Street, Bowling Green, MO 63334.

Pallbearers are grandsons Jeffery Snyder, Jr., Skyler Flowers, Jonathan Flowers, J.L. Lisenbee, as well as great-grandsons Hunter Sarnes and Chief Glen Dale Amaning.

Haven Memorial Funeral Home in Houston, TX is coordinating arrangements in conjunction with Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green, MO.
