I am pretty sure Mr Drennon was my 6th grade teacher in 71-72 at Virgil Grissom elementary. Although I was a pain in his side He provided what I needed to succeed. He helped me build a working silkscreen printer from wood and panty hose. He also submitted me for Major works courses for my junior high career. He impacted my life positively and my condolences to his family. Rest in Peace Mr Drennon.

I was blessed to call Ira a friend for almost 40 years. Over the years, we spent a lot of time together. There were trips to Blanco and Livingston. Birthday parties, both adults and children. His culinary skills were legendary! I was always amazed to find him out in the heat, mowing his yard! I guess that was part of the secret to his longevity. The last time I was at the house, he had been out of the hospital about a week. His voice sounded so strong! His passing took me completely by surprise. I will miss him. He always talked about his family with such pride and love. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
